40 leaves basil 5 dl pure alcohol 95° 3/4l water 500 gr sugar 2 big lemons
Bring to boil sugar with water until totally melt. Let it cool and put it in a glass container. Add basil, alcohol and grated zest (just the external yellow part). Mix and close hermetically. Leave it for 9 days at room temperature without opening it, shaking it sometimes to mix ingredients. Then filter and put it in a bottle.
